Horatio Alger Scholarship
The Horatio Alger Scholarship is seeking students who display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity and plan to pursue a bachelor's degree. Students must have financial need and a determination to turn adversity into opportunity.
Eligibility Requirements:
Enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States
United States citizen
Minimum 2.0 GPA
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at one of the target college/universities on our website

Dell Scholars Program
The Dell Scholars Program helps you earn your degree and launch your career. Each year, 500 students nationwide become Dell Scholars, gaining financial assistance, academic advising, career coaching, and a team of dedicated experts who support them every step of the way. A $20,000 flexible scholarship covers tuition and housing - plus a laptop, book credits, and emergency funds - so you can focus on learning, not expenses.

High school senior participating in an approved college readiness program
Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited 4-year college or university right after high school

HSF Scholar Program
HSF empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing support services and scholarships to as many exceptional students as possible. Every year, HSF selects 10,000 outstanding students as HSF Scholars from a broad and talented pool of applicants. As an HSF Scholar, you will have access to HSF's invaluable Scholar Support Services and be eligible to receive a scholarship, ranging from $500 to $5,000, depending on available funds and relative need.

Women's League of Science and Medicine Scholarship
The Women's League of Science and Medicine Inc. has supported the educational pursuits of high school, college, and graduate students by providing scholarships in the fields of medicine, nursing, allied medicine (lab/x-ray technician, therapy, etc.), science technology, law, social sciences, education, and the arts. This summer, our scholarship awards will be held in-person in Brooklyn for students who meet the requirements.

High school seniors enrolled in public, private, catholic, or charter high schools
Students from the tristate area (NYC, NJ, CT)
Minimum "B" average
If under 18 years old, must submit a copy of your parent/guardian's 2025 W-2 or the last paystubs for the year 2025

HBCU Week Scholarships
This year, there are 3 different scholarships for students to apply to: Arts & Entertainment Scholarship, USTA Althea Gibson HBCU Scholarship, & AstraZeneca Scholarship. Scholarships range from $10,000-$40,000 and specific requirements vary by scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
U.S. citizen or legal Permanent Resident
Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA and be entering freshman year of college
Attend an HBCU for the entirety of the college education
Demonstrate financial need

ATLAS Fellow Scholarship Program
ATLAS Fellows is the only organization dedicated to preparing under-resourced young people for careers in finance. Our organization provides four years of intensive support, including generous college scholarships and internships at prestigious financial institutions. Students can earn up to $20,000/year in scholarship money, up to 4 years of paid, full-time summer internship opportunities and interviews, mentorship, and lifetime membership to ATLAS community.
Eligibility Requirements:
High school senior living in NYC
Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
Identify as under-resourced (first-generation, free or reduced lunch, Pell-eligible) and/or under-represented (including students who identify as women, Black, Latinx, AAPI, LGBTQ+)

McDonald's HACER Scholarship
The McDonald's HACER National Scholarship opens doors and transforms futures with $1 million in scholarships awarded to support up to 100 outstanding students across the country, giving them the boost they need to chase their dreams. Recipients are selected for their academic achievements, community impact, personal statement, and financial need.

High school senior

Minimum 2.8 GPA
Plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college, university, or vocational/technical school full-time in Fall 2026

Earl Woods Scholar Program
The Earl Woods Scholar Program was created in 2006 to honor the vision and spirit of the late Earl Woods, Tiger's father and mentor, and continue his legacy of sharing and caring. TGR Foundation empowers youth to pursue their passions through education. The Earl Wood Scholars Program provides students an unparalleled network, admissions and career counseling, financial assistance, dedicated mentors, specialized internships, and vital workshops. Awardees will receive an annual scholarship of $5,000, renewable up to 4 years.
Eligibility Requirements:
Graduating high school senior
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Demonstrated academic excellence, commitment to community service, and financial need
Must enroll full-time in a 4-year degree program at a U.S. accredited university in Fall 2026
Must participate in a mandatory in-person Pre-College Retreat and Scholarship Orientation July 8-10.

UFT Albert Shanker College Scholarship Fund
Each year, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) proudly awards $1 million in undergraduate and graduate scholarships to academically excellent and financially eligible students from NYC public schools. Scholarship winners are living proof that excellence can thrive in NYC schools. Their hard work - and the dedication of all the educators who worked with them - enable them to achieve academic distinction. The maximum award is $5,000 (8 payments of $625).

NYC public high school seniors who will graduate from a vocational, academic or alternative school
High academic standing and demonstrated leadership in school and community

Act of Kindness Scholarship
Each year, the National Parent Volunteer Association offers merit-based scholarships for students who are committed to volunteering and making a difference in their communities. Our scholarships are open to students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Act of Kindness Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship supporting students who are committed to helping other in their schools or communities.
Eligibility Requirements:
Currently enrolled or plan to be enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university. Vocational/technical, two-year, four-year, or graduate institutions are eligible.
High school junior or senior, undergraduate student, or graduate student
GPA of 2.5 or above

TheDream.US National Scholarship
TheDream.US scholarships are for highly motivated undocumented students who want to get a college education but are unable to afford the cost. They have no access to federal aid, limited access to state aid, and they sometimes face paying out-of-state tuition. We think of our National Scholarship as the "Pell Grant" for highly motivated undocumented students who are eligible to receive in-state tuition in their home state but still have significant, unmet financial need.
Eligibility Requirements:
Undocumented immigrant student with or without DACA or TPS
Came to the U.S. before age 16 and before November 1, 2019
Have significant unmet financial need
Will graduate from a US high school before Fall 2025
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Intend to enroll full-time in an associate or bachelor's degree program at a NY partner college
Eligible for in-state tuition

Banyan College Scholarship for South Asian Americans
This scholarship, dedicated to students wh oare of South Asian origin or descent from low-income families, will be awarded to NYC high school seniors attending college in Fall 2026. A grant up to $5,000 will be awarded annually for up to five students and may be renewable for a total of 4 years based on good academic standing.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be of South Asian origin/descent (countries include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan)
Be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Annual family household income below $100,000
Be applying to full-time undergraduate programs in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university for Fall 2026

Joel S. Pollack Memorial Scholarship
Joel Pollack was an independent insurance agent and a rising star in the industry when he was killed by a drunk driver in 1998. An educational scholarship was established in his honor to assist a graduating high school senior in furthering their education. Big I Tri-County will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who is planning to attend college. The award will be in the form of a check sent to the education institution/college selected by the winner.

High school senior
Be a student in good academic standing at a participating school in Kings county

Stephen T. Dooley Community Service Scholarship
Stephen Dooley was a natural leader on the Big I Tri-County board of directors until his death in February 2005 from cancer. In his honor, Big I Tri-County will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior in the class of 2026 who is planning to attend college. The award will be in the form of a check sent to the education institution/college selected by the winner.

High school senior
Be a student in good academic standing at a participating school in Kings county
Exemplary record of volunteer service for the betterment of his/her community
Be a positive role model

McDonalds HACER National Scholarship

Shell High School Senior Student Scholarship
The Shell High School Senior Student Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate an aptitude in mathematics and science. Shell will sponsor up to 20 one-year awards of $2,500 for selected graduating high school seniors enrolling in engineering or geosciences at universities identified by Shell.
Eligibility Requirements:
Plan to enroll full-time in one of the following majors: geology, geophysics, physics, or chemical, civil, electrical, geological, geophysical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering
Be lawfully authorized to work on a full-time basis in the United States without any for of sponsorship

Anna Waters Scholarship Fund
Guided by our resolve to financially support African-American "C" students, the Anna V. Waters Scholarship Fund invests in their postsecondary education. Our strategy is to increase the number of community supporters investing in our scholars' education and celebrating our students' worth. By applying, students can be eligible for 3 different scholarships: The AVWSF Gladys Combs Award, The Katz Family Scholarship in Entrepreneurship, or The Copes Family Scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded in varying amounts, ranging from $500-$2,000 and award recipients will be recognized at our annual event in June. Awards may be used for books, fees, or tuition.

Mae and Mary Legacy Foundation Scholarship
The Mae & Mary Scholarship Fund is dedicated to advancing Black and African Americans in the medical and health care profession. Its mission is to financially assist exceptional students who have demonstrated commitment, perseverance, and enthusiasm in continuing their education despite hardships in their lives. Scholarships will vary annually and are based on academic excellence and financial need. Scholarship awards must be used for tuition, books, fees, or other need while attending the institution.

New York City/Long Island Senior Scholarship Program & Student-View Scholarship Program
The 2026 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering over $13,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community college, or career school. The program includes 1-$10,000 scholarship, 2-$1,000 scholarship, and 3-$500 scholarships. All NYC/LI seniors who apply for the Student-View Scholarship will also be automatically entered into the drawing for the new $500 NYC Senior Scholarship.

Excelsior Scholarship
The Excelsior Scholarship allows students to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free. For the 2022-2023 academic year, families who earn $125,000 or less in the tax year 2020 are eligible to apply. The Excelsior Scholarship covers any remaining gap in tuition expenses, after other federal and state grants and scholarships are applied, up to $5,500.
Eligibility Requirements:
NYS resident who has resided in NYS for 12 continuous months prior to the beginning of the term
United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
High school graduate
Combined federal adjusted gross income of $125,000 or less
Pursuing an undergraduate degree at a SUNY or CUNY college, including community colleges
Be enrolled in at least 12 credits per term (full-time student) and complete at least 30 credits each year (successively), applicable toward the degree program through continuous study with no break in enrollment except for certain reasons that can be documented

Young Christian Leaders Scholarship
Young Christian Leaders (YCL) Scholarships are monthly awards of $1,000 given to high school seniors and/or currently enrolled full-time college undergraduates who have been endorsed by their peers, family, and spiritual leaders as a person possessing a profound measure of character, commitment to service, and financial need.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be an attending, active member of your local church
Enrolled or have plans to enroll full time in an undergraduate degree program
Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university
Minimum overall 3.0 GPA in previous school semester/marking period
Permanent resident of New York
