All colleges require students to report any extracurricular activities they have participating in throughout high school. This is your opportunity to show your involvement, leadership, commitment, and growth outside of the classroom. Some schools will accept a resume if you already have one, while others will require the information be inputted directly into the application's activity list.
Extracurricular activities include:
Jobs, internships, school clubs, after-school activities,
summer programs, volunteer work, family responsibilities
RECOMMENDATION: Each activity requires a brief 150 character description that demonstrates the specific tasks you completed, skills you gained, and talents/passions you possess. Therefore, a helpful strategy is to first write your extracurricular activity list in a Google Doc. This will allow you the space to edit and strengthen the descriptions of each activity, order them based on importance to you, and review them with your counselor before inputting each activity into your application.
