Heating

The University is bound by legislation and approved Code of Practice which determines the temperature levels within its buildings.

The heating for the halls is controlled centrally within the Estates and Facilities Directorate. You should be aware that once a building has reached the required temperature, the thermostat will switch off the radiators. So if you have no heating, consider the possibility that the flat may have reached the pre-set temperature.

Please note that the University turns off central heating from May until the Autumn.

If you believe your heating is not working correctly, please report this to the Service Desk.
