Context
The Project brief
This was our set task:
In your groups, creating a short 30 second to 1 minute film trailer parody. Shoot your footage vertically on a smartphone within the school grounds and then share the footage so that you can each create an individual edit of the project. The short trailer should be clear about what film you are doing and tell us about the plot of the film.
Deciding on A Film
After discussing together as a group about films we all know well, we decided on the 'Bee Movie' (2007). We decided to do the Bee Movie because we felt that we all knew it well enough and because we felt it was a fun, simple movie that we could recreate in a comical way. We all felt that we wouldn't be able to create a serious trailer parody considering the one week deadline and our limited collective knowledge of film so we decided to lean into the low-budget, indie comical feel.

Final Edit
This edit was a joint effort from me and Daisy Bennet. Daisy primarily edited the clips order and I edited sound.

Quick Evaluation
I am very happy with the final product considering everyone's current skill level in the group and that this was done entirely with our own resources. I became comfortable using premiere pro to edit quite quickly and enjoyed editing and adjusting the sound. Photoshop is still quite a complicated application to me, but I will be sure to develop my skills on it over the coming year.
If we could do this project again, I would probably focus on trying to have steadier camera work and for the cuts in the final edit to be a little smoother.
