Tutoring

• To register students daily

• To deliver the school news/ important notices. 

• To encourage high standards of work and behaviour. 

• To speak to the Pastoral team about any concerns and log positive/ negative events.

• To reward achievements including good attendance and punctuality.

• To deliver PPD sessions.

• To monitor progress across Strand and Pathways. 

• To monitor tutees wellbeing and health. 

• To keep parents/ guardians informed regarding your progress or concerns. 

• To monitor the completion of UniFrog/UCAS 

• To be the first port of call for any concerns/worries

Once a week, you will have a PPD session with your tutor. 

Some of the topics we look at are: 

• Sex and relationships (e.g consent, digital consent, healthy relationships)

• Mental health and wellbeing (e.g Thrive, Mental health panel)

• Life skills (e.g Politics, finance, online reputation)

• Careers (e.g CV writing, work experience)

• Assemblies and workshops: 

  • Black History assembly

  • LGBTQ+ Festival 

  • Neurodiversity assembly 

  • Literary assembly
