Video Conference Checklist
Complete this checklist about half an hour before your scheduled meeting.
Restart, not shut down, your computer.
Set Sound Output to your laptop speakers:
Click on the speaker in the taskbar near the lower right corner of your screen.
Make sure the volume is turned up.
If it doesn’t say “Speakers (RealTek(R) Audio),” click on the little up arrow and choose Speakers.
Open the Camera app to ensure that your webcam works.
If there is a black screen on the camera app, check the sliding shutter on the laptop.
Your webcam is working if you can see yourself in the Camera app. You can close the Camera app.
Go to meet.google.com in Google Chrome.
Click the gear in the upper right corner of the Meet page.
Ensure that your Microphone, Speaker, and Video settings are correct.
