The Software Center is like a mini app store that you can use to install applications made available to you by the BAS I.T. Department. You can install Unplug'd or ActiveInspire on your own using the Software Center. IMPORTANT NOTE: You must be on campus to access the Software Center, as it is a resource hosted locally.
You can launch Software Center from the Start Menu or by searching for Software Center. After it loads, click on the desired application package and then click the Install button on the next page. That's it! No downloading. No typing your password again.
Make Me Admin helps regular computer users on Windows 11 get Local Administrator rights on their computer. If you need to install a program or change an important setting, you launch Make Me Admin and click the "Grant Me Administrator Rights." It gives you elevated permissions for a short time, and then your computer goes back to normal, keeping things safe. You may be asked to enter your computer username and password when installing new software.
It is also essential to be cautious about what you install on your school laptop. Please ensure that the software installer originates from a legitimate source.
