If you are having trouble backing up your iPhoto Library to Google cloud in preparation for your transition from Mac to Windows than please follow the steps below
Create a new folder on your desktop, be sure to name it something obvious
2. Open up iPhotos, click "edit" then "select all", then click "file" then export and finally export XX,XXX items
3. On the new window just click "Export"
4. Then select the folder that you created in step 1, and click "Export"
5. Depending on how many photos you have it could take several hours for the export to finish, if your photo library is in the 10,000+ category (I know mine is close), then plug in your laptop and go to bed, it will be an overnight process.
6. When new photos stop appearing in the folder control+click on the folder and then click "Get Info" and verify that the number photos in the folder is the same as the number of photos from the export on step 2.
7. Finally Drag and drop your new photo into your Google Drive, and thats it. You now no longer have to worry about losing your photos when you give up your device.
