Bruin Success

The Junior Varsity here to dominate again. Putnam city and the Lady Bruins create an intriguing game as they challenge each other throughout the match. The girls produced many fantastic shots and attempts which made the Bruin atmosphere terrific. Throughout the game the fight for the ball continued and both teams stayed tough and true across the court. The Bruins managed to take down the Pirates with vigorous defense while the girls fought through and tackled halftime with a 7 point deferential. The ball was changing possession every other second but the impressive offense shown by the Bruins paid off. Up and down the court ran the girls fighting for the Bruins win. Undoubtably the girls hard work and skills gained the win being the final score was 32-23. The lady Bruin taking home the win.

The Lady Bruin Varsity basketball team is pumped up to play Putnam city in an excruciating battle. The Bruins start off very strong putting the ball immediately into possession. Impressive saves from Bartlesville as they attack the court. The game looks promising as the Bruins complete just the first quarter with a differential by 11 points. The Pirates struggle to keep up with the bruins as they control the court. The intense game fights back and forth between the two teams in a battle of baskets. The girls fought hard as the pirates attempt a comeback but the Bruins stay in the lead. The team did an amazing job at encouraging their teammates as they take on this terrific challenge of a sport. The possession between the team switched at an instant but with the girls diligence, the bruins offense couldn’t be beat. As the game continued so did your interest as the game captivated your attention. Both teams played immensely well however, no one can take down the lady bruins. The battle kept your mind concentrated to see the final outcome. The team, the crowd, the cheerleaders, as well as their peers cheer on the girls to another victory. The final completion of the game was 50-45.

Bruins clawing their way to the top

The freshman Lady Bruins back at it again facing Supulpa in an epic face off. As the clock ran so did the girls, using multiple strategic shots and moves throughout the court. This impressive game was a challenge for both teams but the one and only Bartlesville Bruins came out for the win. The girls made incredible steals, snagging the ball into the Bruin possession. The girls had many buzzer shots and accomplished many difficult baskets. Supulpa still giving it their all could not handle the heat of the bruins. However the one who really stole the show was a tiny Bruin fan stealing the spotlight during minute timeouts as well as in between periods with his skilled moves and baskets. The girls finished every period with at least an 8 point differential and finishing the game with the score of 35-24. A big Bruin victory.

Lady Bruins vs. Sandites

The Bruins played great this Friday night, especially our girls JV and our Varsity teams. Starting off our junior varsity game, blue made the first basket quicker than you could blink after tipoff, starting off to a very good start, everyone was very hopeful. Sandites leading us very closely seemed like the victory could slip from our hands. Middle of the 2nd quarter, a player got ejected from the game. Against 4-5 players the Bruins began to gain hope once more. But by the end of the 2nd quarter blue was losing with 9 and black 16. With the 3rd quarter starting everybody was on the edge of their seats for the rest of this suspenseful game. But with only 5 minutes left, the score was 17 Bruins and 24 Sandites. Nobody knew what was going to happen. Only 3 minutes left of the very last quarter, the Bruins racked up 6 points very quickly. Making the score 23 to 24. Would we make just enough points to beat the Sandites with one extra player? Only 10 seconds left, as everybody was counting down, we managed to make a game changing 2 pointer. Everybody cheered their loudest cheers and the team cheered for themselves even louder. Ending this very exciting game, the score between the Bruins and the Sandites was 25 to 24.

Bruin girls Varsity also played this friday night, after the JV game everybody was very thrilled to see what the varsity girls had in store. Starting the tipoff we managed to get the ball. With the 1st quarter ending it came out close, Bruins with 7 and Sandites 6. The 2nd quarter was also close, tied even with the score 14 to 14. During halftime Bruins regrouped, planned what to do next, and encouraged their team that they could pull through. Also during halftime, our bruin pom team made an amazing performance hyping everybody up for this next half of the game. Bruins played excellently in the 3 quarter, even with Mikka Chambers (#13) racked up 18 whole points throughout the entirety of the game. But sadly the 3rd quarter ended with the score being 24 to 34. Nobody knew if the girls were going to make a comeback like the JV did, but everybody still had hope. But unfortunately, the Bruins did in fact lose by 19 points. Final score was Bruins 32 and Sandites 51.

Overall both girls teams did amazingly and everybody is so proud of them. These two games showed everybody that the Bruins are so strong and can pull through anything if they have the right mindset and audience.

JV Basketball

In a gripping matchup, the Bruins faced off against the Redhawks in a basketball showdown. The first period concluded with the Redhawks securing a narrow victory at 2-1. As the teams entered the second period, the Redhawks displayed formidable skills, taking a commanding lead of 8-1. During the break, the Bruins exhibited commendable teamsmanship, regrouping for the challenges ahead. The third period witnessed a spirited comeback from the Bruins, tying the score at 9 points each. However, in the fourth round, the Redhawks surged ahead, reaching 21 points. The fifth round proved intense, with the Redhawks gaining an additional 5 points, bringing their total to 28. Despite a valiant effort from the Bruins, they found themselves trailing by 15 points. With 1:27 left on the clock, Blue managed to score, but the Redhawks ultimately secured the victory with a final score of 34-20. The Bruins showcased resilience and teamwork throughout, but in the end, the Redhawks emerged triumphant in this hard-fought

competition.

Varsity Basketball

The Bruins started off strong, taking an early lead and showing promising performance in the first period. However, the Redhawks quickly caught up, and despite the Bruins' efforts, the score remained tight. The first period ended with the Redhawks leading 12 to 10. In the second period, the Redhawks continued to dominate, widening the gap to 18-10. Despite moments of brilliance from the Bruins, including Avery's two-point shot, the Redhawks maintained their lead, finishing the period with a score of 18 to 10. The third period saw the Redhawks extending their lead even further, with standout performances from players like Esme Smith. The Bruins fought hard, but the Redhawks secured a commanding lead, ending the third period with a score of 34 to 17. The final period witnessed a spirited effort from the Bruins, with some scoring moments, but the Redhawks maintained control. Esme Smith's impressive plays contributed to the Redhawks' victory, with the final score standing at 50 to 30. Despite the double loss, the Bruins displayed resilience and fought valiantly throughout the game.
