YouthWorks is a state-funded youth employment program that helps teens and young adults (ages 14-25) develop the skills and experience needed to find and keep jobs.

YouthWorks annual contracts include both cycle 1 (summer, April - Aug) and cycle 2 (school year, Sept - June) programming
Participants must be entered in the YouthWorks HUB online portal or submitted to OWD using the Mass upload template spreadsheet.
Data submitted via the Mass Upload Template will be uploaded to the YW hub by Comm Corps.
Eligibility:
✔️ Age: 14-25
✔️ Boston Residency
✔️ Low-Income: <200% of federal poverty guideline - income docs are not required for youth who are housing insecure, in foster care, youth with disabilities, or special needs
✔️ Risk Factors: member of the LGBTQ+ community, person of color, from single income household, experiencing housing insecurity, identifying as having a disability, justice involved, current or former foster care youth, school stop out, child of a single parent, limited fluency in English, teen parent

Signal Success is the Commonwealth Corporation created curriculum that provides participants of the YouthWorks program with soft skills such as communication, time management, and self-advocacy. Program may choose to integrate the signal success modules into their existing curriculum or as a distinct training element. The curriculum may be delivered in person, online, or via asynchronously through Commonwealth Corporations Learning Management System (LMS).
*Grantee's are responsible for tracking the Signal Success hours completed by their YouthWorks Participants

Budget revisions may only be completed at designated times to accommodate submission to and approval by CommCorps. Due dates for programs that choose to submit revisions are:

YouthWorks data is collected and tracked in the YW HUB, a salesforce database. Initial data entry can be imported from a mass upload spreadsheet template.
OWD conducts periodic site visits and desk review of participant files and administrative records.
