what is humanities?

The humanities are the stories, the ideas, and the words that help us understand our lives and our world. They introduce us to people we have never met, places we have never visited, and ideas that may never have crossed our minds. Humanities is made up of three main areas. These areas are as follows:

Geography

The study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources and political and economic activities.

History

History is the study of change over time, and it covers all aspects of human society. Political, social, economic, scientific, technological, medical, cultural, intellectual, religious and military developments are all part of history.

Religion, Ethics and Philosophy

Philosophy, Religion and Ethics will see you exploring topics ranging from the value of religious faith, to the ethics of climate change and euthanasia. Develop and defend your own critical perspectives within the context of global events.
