Chiang Mai, Thailand
This was the first Community Service project I developed. I wanted to find a way to utilise the creative energy within my department to make a positive and tangible change to communities in need. We annually travelled to Chiang Mai, Thailand and further on to hill tribe schools in the area of northern Thailand that would benefit from creative regeneration. The project proved to be hugely successful for a number of years.
Bodh Gaya, India
A new connection and opportunity arose to support a community in Bodh Gaya, India. The school was a local charity project that needed funding and support to develop a new school in an area where the local children would not normally receive an education. Students were fully immersed in the planning for this trip and led educational activities along with renovation projects within the school and the community.
