F3

Welcome to F3

All work for the F3 classes is posted daily on the Seesaw pages for each class - to access Seesaw, click the image below and sign in as usual. Refer back often to check progress being made. Meet calls for whole class and small group work are a regular feature of our Virtual School Experience. Keep up the good work, everyone!

Enrichment Activities:

At certain times, you may want some activities outside of the class provided ones to offer some enrichment opportunities for your children. That is where Global Campus comes in! Click on the GC image to Link directly to Global Campus, a great tool for finding age appropriate activities, or follow the instructions here for access:

Reading

During this time away from the classroom, reading is potentially even more important to continue at home, regardless of the age of your child. Our libraries offer a range of opportunities to do so. Use the link below to be directed to the Primary Library page of this website.

Possible timetable

  • Start the day by talking with your child about what they would like to do.

  • Start with a Busy Finger or active movement activity.

  • Snack – perhaps they can help to prepare it by chopping the food and helping to wash up after

  • Listen to the day's activity or the teacher’s welcome message.

  • Let your child lead their learning independently or do an adult led activity - one of those from the week's activities.

  • Lunchtime – encourage healthy choices and allow children to help prepare by chopping food and helping to wash up after.

  • Allow time to play with their own toys from home and their own books.

  • Allow rest or quiet time with books. Children can read their levelled school book over a device.

  • Encourage children to have a ‘tidy up time’ as they would in school.

To reduce screen time they could listen to their teachers voice on the story without looking at the scanned pages. Listening and Understanding are two of our Prime Areas in the curriculum.

Useful Tips

There’s a comprehensive list here - not specific to children but might be nice for families to see all these as options and then you can choose things based on what your family is interested in https://chatterpack.net/blogs/blog/list-of-online-resources-for-anyone-who-is-isolated-at-home

We will continue to add to this when we know other resources that are being made available and would be appropriate to F3.
