BIS HCMC Primary school

Home learning, the BIS HCMC Way!

Dear Primary Parents,

Whilst we hoped we would not return to this position of using our online platforms, the nature of the pandemic across the world has affected us here in Vietnam. During the second lockdown period during Term 3 last year, we were constantly amazed with the ways in which our teachers, students and parents engaged with the challenge of learning under very trying circumstances. From Google Meet live lessons and chats, constant engagement with Seesaw and Google Classroom activities and the joy of opening a SPLAT box, our students were all on the cutting edge of home learning and we are convinced there was not another school in the world doing this better. Hopefully, the current situation is well under control and that we will not have the need to remain teaching and learning online, but keep up the great work everybody and we could not be more proud of our entire BIS HCMC community!

Understanding the complexities of trying to work in a virtual school, you need to be acutely aware of the effect that this environment is having on each person in our community. Do take time out of your busy days to get together as a family to break away from the screens. Use our wellbeing page to help with ideas.

Please stay safe during these difficult times, and trust in the fact that your children are still receiving the same outstanding learning opportunity that they have always received here at BIS HCMC. We sincerely hope that the global crisis is over soon and that we once again have a school full of smiling faces, but until then please use this website to help keep abreast of the work delivered by our incredible Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

To use this website, please access the year group pages on the tabs above and use the resources on these pages to create a plan for the week. Of course, if there are any issues, please do feel free to contact your class teacher.
