You will learn about the governance of the world in which we live, and develop skills in: communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability. These skills are useful in numerous careers, including being a lawyer, journalist, marketing or finance.

A level Politics is divided into a number of components covering a broad spectrum of political themes:

UK Politics: Democracy and participation, Political parties, Electoral systems, Voting behaviour and the media

UK Government: The constitution, Parliament, Prime Minister and executive, Relationships between the branches of Government.

Core Political Ideas: Conservatism, Liberalism, Socialism.
