As a facilitating subject, A level Geography equips students with a range of academic and practical skills; and is highly regarded by universities and prospective employers.
An integral part of the Geography A level course is the field trip to Sri Lanka or Cyprus, where students develop enquiry skills such as: planning a practical investigation; collecting primary and secondary data; analysing and interpreting results; evaluating techniques and making recommendations.
Geographers enjoy a breadth of career options, including a wide range of pathways for university and employment. A level Geography can also act as a strong fourth subject for students pursuing a career in Engineering, Medicine, International Relations, Economics, Politics, Finance and Law. Geographers are known to be among the most successful in gaining post-graduate employment.
