A level Physical Education gives an insight and appreciation into the ways anatomy, psychology, social networks, culture and our environment influence our everyday lives as well as movement and sporting performance. There are opportunities to compete, or coach, as well as develop knowledge and understanding in the application of the scientific, psychological and social principles behind movement, sport and Physical Education. At both AS and A Level, the course focuses on encouraging the development and application of knowledge and understanding with an emphasis on transferable, higher order skills such as communication, analysis and evaluation.
