Desktop & Screen Saver

Much of the Desktop & Screen Saver panel in System Settings is self-explanatory. A screen saver or sleep should be active, with a password, on a teacher's computer to ensure the confidential data it contains is adequately protected.

Hot Corners are a very useful feature to quickly activate a screen saver or put the Macbook into sleep mode. A hot corner is activated by moving the pointer to one the corners of the screen. When that is done the action set for that hot corner is activated.

To activate hot corners click on the "Hot Corners" button which is located on the Screen Saver tab of the Desktop & Screen Saver panel.

Simply select the desired action from thedrop down for each corner. The "-" option means the corner does nothing.
