Macbook Configuration
It is important that you customise the Macbook settings to a configuration you are comfortable working with, that also provide sufficient security and functionality. In this section we will cover most of the areas that affect a standard user.

If you are new to the Mac, thinking about switching to Mac from a Windows PC, or if you just need to brush up on the basics of the Mac OS, then this is where to begin.
Basic Check List
Passwords: set a secure password that you will remember (this is also the password needed to administer the computer)
Touch ID: register a fingerprint
Screen Saver - Lock Screen: ensure require password after screen saver begins or is turned off is set to immediately
Screen Saver: Set as preferred
Wallpaper - Set as preferred
Desktop & Dock - Hot Corners button: Set one corner to "Lock Screen" (use to quickly blank screen if needed)
Filevault: turn on, select to use recovery key and ensure you keep a copy of the key securely and accessible
Trackpad: customise to your preferences
Language and Input methods: turn off the fn key and the ก/A as a language switcher. Optional but I find automatic switching a nuisance. Alternatively, remove all except English Keyboards
