This is a great opportunity to explore practical, research-based strategies that make content more accessible while promoting language development. K-5 Professional Development Dates & Sign-Up Links
Half day training on practical strategies, resources, and insights to support newcomer students with limited English (level 1s)
Full day training on all 8 SIOP components (the district's chosen method for supporting our EL/ML students.) This option covers A LOT in a short amount of time. This is a good way to get an overview and find out if you want to learn more and get some individualized coaching.
Half day training on practical strategies, resources, and insights to support students with a cultural and/or personal connection to a language they grew up hearing, speaking, or understanding but have not been formally using educationally.
Full day trainings, each covering 4 components of SIOP. This allows for a deeper exploration of each component, more example and time to practice your skills!
