The physical education program at MSN is designed to develop physical fitness, motor ability, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a knowledge of physical health & overall wellness.  Students are required to suit out for PE and will need athletic shoes.

Students MUST be enrolled in Athletics in order to participate in the BHISD middle school competitive sports program.  If you do not wish participate in the folllowing, please sign up for PE. 

Boys' Athletics: Football, Basketball, Soccer, Track

Girls' Athletics: Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Track

Tennis does not require you to be enrolled in the athletics class. 

If you do not wish to play football, basketball, volleyball, soccer or track, please sign up for P.E. instead of Athletics).

• Incoming 8th grade girls who want to sign-up for athletics and were not in 7th grade athletics will be required to participate in cross country.

• Tryouts for at least one of the sports mentioned above will be required.

• A physical is required to participate.

• Other forms will need to be completed online on RANK ONE.

• Drug testing must be completed at orientation for all incoming 7th graders and any students new to the district before they can participate.

• Students will need to arrange transportation  for before and after school practice.

• Parents should check the district website for potential parent meetings and equipment distribution schedules.

Students will not be able to change their schedule if they change their mind or do not make a team.
