Requirements for Training
Our EHS Instructors are authorized instructors through various companies and agencies, which requires them to follow those parent organizations' expectations and programs. Due to this and being cost effective, we require no less than 5 students in any given class. Course will be scheduled on the Calendar below, but managers can request classes if they are not on the calendar.
First Aid Training
Company policy requires all Foremen, Superintendents, Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Project Directors to be certified and current in AED/CPR/Basic First Aid training. If you are already certified, ensure HR has a copy of your card and you have no further requirements.
If you are not certified and are required to be, contact your Division EHS Manager to determine the best option to obtain certification. This training must be scheduled before assuming a new leadership role.
OSHA 30 Training
Company policy requires some Foremen (industry determined), all Superintendents, all Construction Managers, all Project Managers, and all Project Directors to be OSHA 30 certified. If you are already certified, ensure HR has a copy of your card and you have no further requirements.
If you are not OSHA 30 certified and are required to be, go to the following site and register for online training.
If BHI did not issue you your own company credit card, you will need to have a supervisor who has one with you as you register to provide payment information.
Forward a copy of your certificate of completion to the Training Department upon completion for entry into your official company training records.
MSHA Training
If your supervisor directs you to obtain MSHA New Miner certification or refresher training, contact your Division EHS Manager to determine if company MSHA training is available in the required timeframe.
If company training is not available in a timely manner, click on the appropriate link below to register for MSHA online training.
If BHI did not issue you your own company credit card, you will need to have a supervisor who has one with you as you register to provide payment information.
