Monday - 

• In Class: Reviewed periodic table trends and valence electrons.  Discussed and took teacher-led notes on the special characteristics of Helium. (Notes found below) Reviewed and Practiced finding valence electrons and drawing lewis dot structures. 

• Homework: Lewis Dot Diagram Worksheet & Valence Electron/Lewis Dot Structure Worksheet.

Tuesday - 

• In Class: We took a very minimal amount of notes on Ch.7.2 PowerPoint presentation. We watched a short video explaining how to draw Lewis Dot Diagrams for Ionic Compounds. We practiced drawing Ionic Compound Dot Structures with partners.  (4th period was given an extra worksheet as a review of valence electrons and forming ions--it was not homework)

• Homework: Complete the Lab Write-up for 'Characteristics of Ionic Bonds' Lab

Wednesday/Thursday  - 

• In Class: Completed 'Characteristics of Ionic Bonds' Lab

• Homework: Finish Post Lab Questions
