Switzerland is known for its beautiful mountains, charming cows wearing their cow bells, chocolate, and cheese. What's not to love? Did you know that Switzerland has four official languages: German, French, Romansh and Italian? I've been to most of these areas, but on this page, I'm just going to introduce you to some of the francophone (French speaking) areas of Switzerland
The main cities in Suisse Romande (francophone Switzerland) are Geneva and Luasanne, both up against lake Geneva, and Neuchâtel, a university town known for its beautiful hiking. There are also plenty of small, cozy villages along the way that are full of charm, history, culture, and delicious food such as fondue and milk chocolate! (You can visit one of the most famous chocolate factories in this part of Switzerland, la Maison Cailler. See my pictures and a quick video below.)
Make sure you scroll down past the photos to see all sorts of cool videos about the French-speaking part of Switzerland!
