Elementary Literacy Areas of Focus
Scientific, research-based assessments are used to determine whether or not a student has mastered a skill or concept and needs further instruction in Tier II or Tier III. Teacher observation and observational checklists can also be used to monitor instruction. Intervention frameworks are suggested for each component and a list of possible activities is provided.
