CELP Linguistic Supports-These research-based supports described here are linguistic supports for students of various levels of language proficiency. All English learners need linguistic supports in order to progress in their language proficiency. However, these supports vary by English proficiency level. These supports are to be used within the context of activities aligned with the standards.
Desk Cards-Provides an overview of the stages of language acquisition with strategies to support students at each stage. You will find a brief description of the characteristics of ELs at the different language proficiency levels, questioning techniques and teaching strategies for every level.
