The Multilingual Learner program at BHS includes English Language Development (ELD) classes, Academic Support, and EL Capstone. Details regarding each course can be found below.
The BHS ELD courses are taught by a licensed ESL teacher and consist of two levels, each with a dedicated, content-rich curriculum building reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to all proficiency levels.
EL Academic Support is available during student Learning Labs and Capstone Support periods Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, where current and former English Learners receive dedicated language support for their content classes from an EL tutor.
