Is LAS Links aligned to any state language proficiency standards?
Yes! LAS Links is aligned to many language proficiency standards including the WIDA standards, Texas ELPS, ELPA21, CA ELD, ACTFL and the NY EL Progression standards. Please visit https://laslinks.com/alignments/ to see each of these alignments.
The speaking and listening domains take approximately 10-15 minutes each. The reading and writing domains take approximately 35-45 minutes each. Keep in mind, online administration of the assessment allows you to group administer all domains, including Speaking.
What scores are used to determine English learner status?
If a student receives a proficiency level of 1, 2 or 3 they are considered limited in their proficiency and not considered proficient.
DRC's recommendation:
For each subtest, trained test administrators should give students as much time as they need, as long as they are working on the test.
If, after a reasonable amount of time, a student appears to not be actively engaged in the subtest they are being presented, a trained test administrator should use his/her professional discretion and may stop the subtest and move the student on to the next subtest.
This is a local decision however, LAS Links should be administered by professionals or paraprofessionals who are proficient in the language of the test.
Yes, you may use both paper and online assessments at the same time but it is recommended that a single student be tested either fully online or fully on paper.

30-60 minutes from local educator scoring to reporting (Speaking, Reading (4-12) and Writing)
30-60 minutes from test completion to reporting (Listening and Reading (K-3))
If utilizing DRC scoring services: TAs access student On-Demand report and Enhanced Student Report within 4-6 business days of completing their test (Speaking, Reading, Writing) Listening within 30-60 minutes of completion
For paper, you will score locally immediately following the completion of the test.
