What was Math 54 like for PREP 2018?
"This class does deal heavily with theory, not as much computation as previous math classes. Even though I had a terrible professor, you can still succeed by reading the textbook, doing all of the homework, going to GSI OH, going to discussion sections (I highly recommend Chris Eur as a GSI), practicing writing proofs, and going to deep dives led by Christian Murray. I recommend section hopping if you need to find a good GSI. Also, the Differential Equations unit in 1B did make the diff EQ unit in 54 feel easy. "

"Stopped going to lecture because I can read the book on my own. Discussion was very key, as I learned most of the material there. Important to keep up due to the weekly quizzes. "

"Find a good professor! A good professor will make the class feel easier than it is, choose the semester and professor wisely. You go into depth with matrices and it is cool, but you move at a FAST pace. Differential equations are not that bad... until you get to partial differential equations. " - Alex, Team Ruby
