UCPath is the University of California’s payroll, benefits, human resources and academic personnel system for all UC employees. You can use UCPath to view your paycheck, obtain your tax documents (W-2s), and sign up for direct deposit (instructions below).
You will view your EID for employment related purposes and questions
View and update personal information in Employee Actions->Personal Information->Other Personal Information
Please make sure that your contact info is up to date. ***BE SURE YOUR HOME/MAILING ADDRESS IS YOUR LOCAL ADDRESS TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR FIRST PAY CHECK.

****TIP: To make getting paid easier and faster make sure to set-up direct deposit as soon as possible. Scroll down for instructions on how to do so.
Step 1: Go to the "direct deposit" section of the UCPath website. In this example, change the bank account on your direct deposit checking account. Click the direct deposit account link.
Step 2: To help locate the routing number and account number on your check. Click on the view check example link.
Step 3: Use the routing number field to update the bank routing number details. Click the routing number button.
Step 4: A list of known routing numbers is available in the system. Click in the begins with field.
Step 5: Enter the desired information into the begins with field in this example, enter part of the routing number.
Step 6: Click the look up button
Step 7: Click the account number field then press delete
Step 8: Click in the account number field then press delete.
Step 9: Enter your new account number
Step 10: Retype account number
Step 11: If you are changing your account type, click the button to the right of the Account Type field and select a different account type.
Step 12: Click the button to the right of the Deposit Type field.
Step 13: Click the return to direct deposit button
Step 14: You can add/update your direct deposit only once per day. Make all direct deposit changes, deletions and additions before you save.
Click the check box to allow UC to credit and/or debit your account(s).
Step 15: MAKE SURE AND SAVE and your direct deposit is updated end of procedure.
Important Notices: Changes to Student Employment Verification

Attention Student Workers:
Starting April 30, 2023, UC will use The Work Number (TWN) for employment verification, which securely confirms UC employment and income for banks, leasing agents, and employers.
Students workers that utilize the TWN no longer need to contact UCPath for employment verification assistance.
How can I opt out of TWN?
To opt out of TWN's employment verification services, following these navigational steps:
UCPath Online > Employee Action > Personal Information > My Current Profile > Employee Verification
Then click the Student Opt-out button and complete the necessary actions.
Please remember:
If you opt out, your UC employment information will be removed from the TWN file within one business day.
Information sent to TWN before opting out will remains in its database.
Student workers who opt out of TWN must refer employment or income verification requests to UCPath for manual verification.
