Cal Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

About Cal SAAC

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee consists of members across Cal Athletics' 30 sports teams, who have been designated by their team to provide leadership and represent the voice of student-athletes at Cal. SAAC also serves as a hub for supporting and encouraging awareness and engagement around Student-Athlete Engagement Group initiatives. The 3 Pillars of SAAC are:

Grab your teammates and sign up to adopt-a-week this Spring! Be positive college role models and connect with local students through the power of play and support recess at Sylvia Mendez Elementary (Berkeley) or KIPP Upper Middle School (Oakland)! See recess schedules here

Next steps: 

 Women’s Gymnastics did flips over their competition to land the #1 spot for the small team win, coming in at 34 collective hours! 

Track and Field ran away with the win in the large team competition, coming in at 62.5 collective hours on the playground! 


SAAC E-Board & Team Representatives

Each Cal Athletics' team designates a minimum of 2 student-athletes to represent their team on Cal SAAC. Student-Athletes may be nominated by coaches, or may apply and be approved by coaches each academic cycle. Learn more about how the role of a SAAC rep here.
