Dance and drama for everyone!
At Belmont Intermediate School we emphasise developing student’s creativity, thinking skills, and their ability to critically reflect. We thus offer an extensive performing arts curriculum, including dance and drama.

We are delighted to announce our 2025 school production. THE MAD FLIGHT will be directed by Dr David Zeitner - Belmont Intermediate, devised by BIS students, and supported by Red Leap Theatre.
About THE MAD FLIGHT by Red Leap Theatre: The Mad Flight is a high-energy, immersive theatre experience that brings storytelling to life through physical theatre, movement, and visual spectacle. Red Leap works with schools to allow students to experience the magic of live performance while learning the tools of innovative, original theatre-making. THE MAD FLIGHT Opening Night is on Thursday 23 October 2025 at 7pm at the school hall.
We are thrilled to share with you that two of our students, Juliette France and Dani Ramos, have been cast in Encore Theatre Collective's production of Annie at the Bruce Mason Centre this June.
Auckland Arts Festival starts this week and is on until 23 March 2025!
