Chamber Groups at BIS

BIS offers dedicated rehearsal opportunities for small chamber ensembles such as duos and trios. These groups are designed for students studying classical instruments who are ready to work at a higher level and wish to explore advanced repertoire of their own choosing.

Chamber groups provide a focused and collaborative environment in which students can refine technical skills, develop musical independence, and gain valuable experience in ensemble performance.

Eligibility and Expectations
Students participating in chamber groups are expected to have reached at least Grade 5 level on their instrument.
Members work closely with their instrumental teachers to select and prepare repertoire and are expected to practise regularly at home to support steady progress and ensemble cohesion.

Performances
Chamber groups have opportunities to perform at school events, allowing students to share their work, demonstrate musical growth, and contribute to the wider performing arts culture at BIS.
