BHS Students are exposed to a broad technological curriculum.
The BHS Information Technology Department allows students to apply theoretical concepts in a practical manner.
As Freshmen, students explore the MS Office Suite as a foundational tool to use in presentation of more complex level computer studies as they progress in their BHS educational experience. In addition, they learn other topics to add to their toolbox, such as basic webpage design and hardware/software knowledge.
As Sophomores, students are introduced to the advanced features of MS Office Suite to add to their toolbox, and they are introduced to more complex computer studies such as Data Communication and Algorithm Development. They are also introduced to 3D printing concepts and design.
As Juniors, students master level one programming, learning a minimum of two programming languages, and are introduced to the fundamentals in Robotics, focusing on movement of objects. Should they choose IT as a Major Track, their knowledge is furthered in learning multiple programming languages, networking, database, and physics.
As Seniors, students master level two programming, learning a minimum of two visual-based programming languages, and are introduced to the concept of logic gates and circuitry.
