Day Specific TechTeams

Tuesday TechTeam -- Thursday TechTeam -- Saturday TechTeam - Fall, 2017

"Day" rather than "Sport" TechTeams are a pretty new thing for us. Where the Football TechTeam (for example) always covers football - whenever it happens to be - DAY TechTeams serve as crew for whatever shoot happens to fall on their day of the week. Some days of the week have many more shoots than others. Times and locations will vary each week.

== Generally, you'll have the schedule well in advance of what you're shooting each week. The team will help decide on what they're doing on any non-production nights. Some nights will be training, some will be helping with operations at the BEC World Headquarters, some may be field trips, and some might just be a night off.

-- Note that as of publication, our calendars do NOT reflect what's coming up. Yet. We're still working with all the coaches and directors to figure out what our priorities.

-- We'll have pretty good idea of what's on the calendar EXCEPT during sports playoffs. Then all bets are off. We do our best to predict what sports teams will go on and which will go home.

-- As with all shoots, crew is expected to stay until strike and post-production meeting are done.

-- We try to be sensitive to younger techs who need to get home early on School Nights. If you can't stay till the we are finished, we need to know AHEAD of time.

-- The DAY of your production is - by default - super predicable. However, whether there is a shoot, as well as when or where the shoot is, tend to shift each week.

-- If a "sport Specific" TechTeams will cover their team regardless of the days it falls on (so if there's a football playoff on a Tuesday, the Football TechTeam would cover it, not the Tuesday one.) If, however, the Tuesday Techteam doesn't have a shoot of their own that night, they may be invited to participate

Tuesday TechTeam and Thursday TechTeam

Tuesday and Thursday shoots each get their own TechTeam. They're pretty dang similar. These cover whatever may be happening on that day - typically soccer and sometimes a couple high school concerts. Soccer games are likely to be at either Bloomington Stadium or at the schools. We cover 4 soccer teams so there are often a couple games a week to cover. Sometimes these are back to back . Crew call for early games is usually right after school. For later games it's usually 5:00. Late games tend to wrap at 9:00 or so.

Even though "Inside Football" is on Tuesdays, that show has it's own TechTeam.

Saturday TechTeam

Saturday probably has the least amount of shoots. Last year there were only two. Still we know some people don't have any flexibility on weeknights, so we're offering this opportunity. Saturdays may hold some soccer (Typically afternoon games at the High Schools), possibly some swimming (at Olson or Oak Grove). One For Sure event is live coverage of the Heritage Days Parade (Slated for morning and early afternoon of Sept 16)
