WHY
In the past BEC-TV student techs have had to remember a pile different locations and have a finely tuned Secret Decoder Ring to find resources. Links were somewhere on the web and forms given to you in the field were somewhere in your backpack underneath last Thursday's bologna sandwich.
Now we're bringing all those resources to one spot -and making that spot easy to find, to boot!
WHERE
All Bloomington students and their parents are already familiar with BPS Hub, right?
If you are an active volunteer with BEC-TV, you're gonna find an ambiguously listed "Activity" in with your class schedule on the hub.
You'll know you've got the right one if the teacher is listed as "Thomas Ringdal".
The "Activity" should have a link to the BEC-TV Tech Portal. Ta-Dah!
WHAT
We're working to make the Tech Portal your one-stop shop to give you all the links you need when working with BEC-TV
These may include:
-- Shoot/Event Calendar (So ya know what's coming up and can let us know whether or not you're coming)
-- BEC Announcements and Newsletters - So you know what's happening
-- BEC-Wear Order Form (So - after you've earned the right - you can order up a sharp lookin' BEC shirt, jacket, hat, etc
-- Training Resources (Helping you to become a real Smarty Pants - or Smarty Dress, if that's your thing)
Don't see "Activity" (with teacher Thomas Ringdal) listed on your class schedule on the hub?
Give us an shout (tom@bectv.org or 952-681-5900) and we'll look into it and give you an update.
We're still exploring ways to work with your school calendar and with Moodle to help make the most of resources you're already tied into.
