The assignment was to watch the video “United Shades Of America: White Supremacy” . It talked about white supremacy in the United States. The man who hosts the show is a comedian who addresses and in a way “shades” the country. The video talk about issues such as the KKK and police brutality in America.The questions of the video referenced all that we had learned in class and the things that we already knew about racism in America. We had to directly link the video and what we learnt in the video to all of the information that we had been learning in class about the same topic. The final question was to link how history was linked to the modern day problem. I decided to link the actions of the KKK with the recent actions of police officers in America.
