I can create an original artistic expression by selecting and using appropriate artistic methods, tools, forms, or media. This means I understand ways to create artistic expression.
For this project we were given freedom to draw whatever we wanted in colored pencil. I decided to draw my friend's dog, Lady. I wanted to work on my realism when I use colored pencils. I don’t often work in this medium because I find that it can be overly time consuming and it's hard to fix mistakes in colored pencils.I think that the realism turned out well and the overall project was successful. This was my first time creating a piece including an animal and I think that I used good techniques to make it seem all more realistic. I think that by using colored pencils it made the image look more realistic and accurate to my reference picture
