Year 2 have had a wonderful week full of creativity, curiosity, and thoughtful learning. In English, we have been developing our punctuation skills by learning how to use commas when writing lists. The children enjoyed using role play to create sentences that were both accurate and imaginative. During our Inquiry lessons, we continued exploring traditions and cultures from Mexico, Spain, and the UK, making fascinating comparisons and recognising the importance of celebrating diversity. In art, we consolidated our understanding of tertiary colours, mixing and experimenting to create new and interesting shades. The children showed great enthusiasm and care in their work. In RE, we learned about the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Fitr, discussing how families come together to mark the end of Ramadan through prayer, kindness, and sharing special meals. It has been lovely to see the children connecting their learning across different subjects this week.
