Reception

This week in Reception, we have been busy learners! In phonics, we explored the phonemes e and h, practising their sounds and identifying them in words. In maths, we focused on the numbers 1, 2 and 3, learning to find, represent and subitise them in different ways. As part of our inquiry, we read ‘Koala Made the Right Choices’ and used the story to help us think about our own school community and the importance of making good choices. We introduced house points and zones of regulation, and worked together to create our class charters, linking them to our academy and class rules to help us understand how we can all contribute to a positive learning environment.
