On Thursday 16th October, a team of seven enthusiastic boys from across Years 3 and 4 proudly represented the academy in a football competition. Held at Sutton Valence Preparatory School, they competed against several other local primaries. The boys demonstrated outstanding teamwork and skill, securing a perfect record in their group games with impressive victories of 2-0, 5-0, and 2-0, which advanced them straight to the final. Their final match was a thrilling contest against Smarden Primary, where the Bearsted Boys once again showed their determination, winning 2-0 to be crowned champions! A huge well done to all the players for their superb effort and sportsmanship, and our sincere thanks to the parents for their invaluable support.
This week, our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the LAT Primary 7s rugby tournament, representing our school with pride and enthusiasm. Throughout the day the children persistently demonstrated what caring, principled and excellent communicators they are.
They encouraged and supported one another both on and off the field and also showed excellent resilience, never giving up and learning from every game.
Our children displayed excellent sportsmanship, celebrating both their successes and those of others, which was also noticed by the other academies in attendance.
Most importantly, they had great fun, embodying teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude throughout the tournament. A huge well done from Coach Rose and Coach Powell!
