Kick-Off to the High School Design Process

Kick-Off to the High School Design Process

Starting on October 2nd, ThenDesign Architecture began meeting with staff at Brunswick high school as part of the design process.  The first engagement was geared towards letting the staff "Meet the Team" and to share information about the construction process for the new high school. This begins the process of gathering feedback on important considerations for designing educational spaces.

In the coming weeks, designers will be meeting with individual departments to better understand how they use space, their unique needs and considerations for the new high school.  Insights gained will inform the design of educational spaces that prepare students for the future.

This aligns with BCSD's commitment to implementing educational best practices in classroom environments to ensure optimal student learning. For those who couldn't attend, a survey link was sent so they could offer their insights and input.

TDA and Hammond Construction will host a community “Meet the Team” night on Tuesday, October 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Brunswick High School. Please bring your questions, as there will be a Q&A session following their presentation.

Architects from ThenDesign Architecture met with high school staff to provide an overview of the project and begin gathering their feedback.

Designers also meet with indiviual departments at the high school to better understand their unique needs. Several rounds of these meetings happen over the course of the project to ensure that the new space will meet the needs of the district.
