3D: Year Three

Advanced 3D Level Art IV & V

Year Three of 3D Art is the combination of Advanced 3D Art Level IV and Advanced 3D Art Level V. Each course lasts one semester and is worth 1 credit each. Typically, Advanced 3D Art IV is offered in the Fall semester with Advanced 3D Art Level V following in the Spring. Students must pass Intro to 3D Art, Adv 3D Level I, II, III before taking Advanced 3D Art Level IV and V. While Ceramics projects are included in the curriculum, our 3D courses go beyond clay and we explore other materials like plaster, metal foil, linoleum, textiles, and 3D Design. This curriculum is designed to introduce students to a variety of materials to build a wide range of experience. We also explore creativity and will learn how to create a digital portfolio. Students at this level are expected to build on previous knowledge and to find subject matter that is not only original but challenging.
