3D: Year Four

Advanced 3D Art Level VI & VII

Year Four of 3D Art is the combination of Advanced 3D Art Level VI and Advanced 3D Art Level VII. Each course lasts one semester and is worth 1 credit each. Typically, Advanced 3D Art VI is offered in the Fall semester with Advanced 3D Art Level VII following in the Spring. Students must pass Intro to 3D Art, Adv 3D Level I, II, III, IV, V before taking Advanced 3D Art Level VI and VII. While Ceramics projects are included in the curriculum, our 3D courses go beyond clay and we explore other materials like soapstone, wood, silkscreen, textiles, and 3D Design. This curriculum is designed to introduce students to a variety of materials to build a wide range of experience. We also explore creativity and will learn how to create a digital portfolio. Students at this level are expected to build on previous knowledge and to find subject matter that is not only original but challenging.
