Grading Computer Science:
City Schools recommends that schools identify a certified teacher (one having certification in one or more content areas) to teach computer science in grades K-8, if the school chooses to offer this course.
Schools may choose to contract with an approved technology education vendor to provide instruction. In this case, the principal should be listed as the teacher of record in Infinite Campus and is responsible for working with the contractor to award grades.
*Contractors should not be listed as the teacher of record for any course and should not be awarding grades without oversight from the school leader.
