Anyone who has renewed their work permit 1 time (worked at a school for more than 1 year as a "Teacher") and has a degree in education from their home country automatically qualifies to get this, they just need to submit all necessary documents as outlined in the application form (sealed transcripts/degrees, etc.).
If you have done the Moreland University/TeachNOW program, you can start the application for a Thai Teaching License
This license holds 5 years validity and applying to renew at the end of the 5 years requires simple "proof of Professional Development'' - so it's essentially a lifelong license.
Once you qualify for a Thai teaching license you can complete the form below and start the application process
The Thai Teacher's Council has given teachers who are working under a temporary Thai Teacher's Permit an opportunity to get a 5 year Thai Teaching License by completing online Modules. Please see the images below for more information.
**A Thai Teaching License does not qualify for a salary increase, you must have a Teaching License from your home country for this.
After 5 years you must show Proof of Professional Development. BCIS provides this with a program each year called Safe Schools (last year 2020 was National Online Safety but we're switching back). Safe Schools provides certificates after completing each training course. These certificates can be printed and put into a portfolio folder. If you happen to have any other certificates from professional development programs you volunteered to do, you can add that to the portfolio as well. But safe schools certificates should be sufficient.
*Safe schools will be available soon, accounts are still being set up*
