Research Intern with RBI (Feb 2019)

Chirag has been engaged as an intern with RBI for a Research Survey named 'SISS' (Survey on Indian Startup Sector). He has met founders and CEOs of 40-45 Startups in Bangalore and has identified issues that they face in terms of ease of doing business, access to finance, regulatory prescriptions, lack of talent. Their team also created a profile of the startups in terms of the profile of founders and their background, their business sector, revenue ranges, future plans etc. Their work with RBI Bangalore, set a foundation for a similar structure to be followed at other branches for a successful completion of the survey on a national level.

StartUp Land, Bengaluru (Jan 2019 - Present)

Chirag is currently working as a business development intern at Connecting Dots group which has 2 sub-brands for Business Consultancy named StartUp Land and SMErise. These 2 groups cater to make an impact on the Entrepreneurship ecosystem of the city and help Students, Entrepreneurs, Freelancers and Professionals in building their businesses the correct way.

Joining at the very initial point, Chirag is engaged in creating and testing the programmes under the 4 modules - Incubation Bay, Coworking Axis, Resource Centre and Connecting Zone. He, along with another intern have built close to 3 display websites for the firm as well as clients.

He is also a developing a subscription plan as a new revenue model for the business and creating a plan for marketing on different platforms to get maximum leads.

Sabzilana Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur (May 2015 – June 2016)

A door-to-door delivery startup of untouched, hygienic and quality vegetables and fruits in Nagpur. Among Maharashtra's top 25 most promising Startups by Silicon India.

Social Media & Designing - Chirag worked as an intern for the initial branding of business and designed brochures, visiting cards, t-shirts, flyers and various social media posts. He did product photography for the product placement on the online platform and optimized social media activities. He made videos for explaining the use of application, use of website and the working of the washing-sorting-packing-dispatch unit.

Business Development – He was a part of the team that drafted the B-plan and specifically helped in setting the cost structure of different operations. He prepared a structure for compensation to the coordinators of the business, by following cost-based methods of pricing. Assisted in making the presentation for B-plan and presentations for pitching in business events.

Operations - As a coordinator, he managed insights from website testing and conducted alpha tests for the operations. He got all the branding and advertising material designed and printed on a regular basis. He put his excel skills to use and created an MIS structure for the business operations on Google sheets and helped manage the daily operations as orders increased.

Marketing & PR – He managed customer feedback through creating and analysing response forms. He effectively represented Sabzilana at various sponsored events. He developed innovative and zero-cost marketing strategies for customer acquisition, the mini-projector which could be used to project the company’s logo in the night on train stops to advertise for free being his brainchild.

Rock n Fit, Nagpur (November 2016 – January 2017)

A fitness and health academy, that conducts monthly batches for Yoga, Meditation, Zumba, Aerobics, Bokwa, Folk Fitness and other forms of exercises and Non-gym workouts for females. The academy also provides health and skin products and has a network for IMC products, Fitness T-shirts, trousers, wrist bands, energy drinks etc.

Marketing & Designing - Chirag interned at Rock n Fit to manage the social media presence of the Nagpur based fitness studio. He managed the Facebook account for Rock n Fit, handled content writing, made creatives and videos for promoting the page and business among the women crowd of the area. He designed t-shirts for an event, pamphlets for promotion and receipt booklets. He also made posters to be put on the walls of academy for adding to its aesthetics. He also created a few instrumental audio tracks with beats to suit aerobics and fitness exercises.
