Chirag co-founded UTH Foundation as a small student’s group to support initiatives and channelize youth energy of the city into beneficial action for the society. Leading a team of 110 volunteers as President for 2 years, he got 9 projects started in different sectors of health, education, civil cleanliness, women empowerment and for eradicating digital backwardness.
He also managed social media pages and PR for the NGO. Two of these projects were supported by Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar and other newspapers of the city, associations with other NGOs followed. He lead the successful fundraising project, Power2Empower across the city to conduct workshops for women to digitally empower them.
What started as a music video for Independence Day, turned out to be a mini-movement in the city. Chirag directed, cinematographed, compiled and edited the video that was aimed at raising awareness about the spirit of national responsibility. However, as things progressed on short timelines, it turned out to be a bigger opportunity where the heads arranged and lead a crew of 60 volunteers in design, editing, and logistics teams. He managed PR for the launch of the video, got associations from 14 city brands as well as the Speaker of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Assembly and set up an IVR for citizens wanting to be a part of the movement. The team organised the official launch of video at a grand event in the premises of Empress City Mall on 15th August arranging for dance performances by famous dance groups, and band performances, all in just 1 day.
The team lead by Chirag got the video shoot, editing, launch of video at 12 places (on the same day) covered under a budget of just INR 42,000.
