Edify 2019

Chirag was invited as a panelist for Edify 2019, the flagship event of E-cell of the Department of Management Studies, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). He shared the panel with Dheeraj Nair and Pramodh Chandrasekharan which was moderated by Prof. Phinu Jose and the topic of discussion was Student Entrepreneurs. He put forward to the audience his challenges as a student and what made them quit college to pursue their dream company. He however advised students not to do so and explained his journey of validation, which is often ignored by students on the same path.

Awards

Inicio 4.0

Inicio organised by Department of Commerce, is a city level B-Plan Event that invites fully functional start-ups or business prototypes which will soon be launched as businesses. Chirag's team, which included Divyam Goenka and Shivangi Srivastava, presented their B-plan Streetopreneurs and won the rounds, being placed 1st in the competition. This got them more opportunities in the Startup Master Class 2017 which is an initiative of the alumni of IIT Kanpur, in association with IIT Kharagpur, IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad. This one day event comprised of "Realizing Dreams" talks by entrepreneurs, 10+ workshops, 1-on-1 mentoring sessions and pitching of business plans to investors.

Team Streetopreneurs was not only given one minute for an elevator pitch of their B-Plan in the mega event, where they were the only student entrepreneurs and presenters but also got a special opportunity to pitch their business plan in front of actual venture capitalists.

Mr. VPA 2016

An award in recognition of excellence and character, Mr. VPA is the most prestigious award of the institution which is given to the best male student in terms of excellence, talent, knowledge, presence of mind, ethical and moral uprightness which are judged over a series of rounds spread over a week. The final rounds are a part of the grand event OASIS, which is the biggest corporate event of the city and gains a lot of media attention.

Taped

Taped is a Short documentary competition organised by Enactus CHRIST every year which announces a specific social area on which students have to make a short documentary which highlights and introduces the issue at hand and provides solutions or a broader outlook for the same. Chirag's team was placed 1st in the competition which included presentation of a solution to solve the issue the Street Vendor's daily struggles. The team was offered an incubation under Enactus CHRIST to execute their idea.

BSE International Financial Olympiad

Organised by the BSE Institute Ltd. (Subsidiary of BSE Ltd.) is the biggest national level Financial Olympiad in the country which has participation from various states across India. The first round of BSE International Financial Olympiad covered students from 544 schools from 150 cities and 18 states in India out of which 875 students, post an online test, were qualified for the 2nd round and 108 students were selected for the finale in Mumbai. The event was graced by the presence of Shaina NC, Spokesperson of BJP, an Indian fashion designer and social worker, Ms. Dipti Neelakantan, Group Chief Operating Officer at JM Financial & Auxiliary Bishop Savio Dominic Fernandes who is serving as the Auxiliary Bishop of Bombay Archdiocese. Chirag was placed 3rd in the olympiad that took place in the premises of Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai. He also recieved a cash prize of INR 8,000.

Social Impact Award

Chirag participated in the Lemon School of Entrepreneurship's event for startups known as the Startup Circus in Nagpur. Representing Sabzilana.com there, Chirag presented the business model and the operations to other participants of the event, and the jury which included Angel Investors and business mentors from the TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs)
