A Compulsory Module is a module offered by your Subject that you MUST take.
Semester 1:
You must take 20 credits as follows:
BIO6002-20 Environmental Practice
AND
You must take 40 credits from any of the following modules:
Semester 1:
BIO6000-20 Dissertation Planning*
GEO6000-40/1 Geography Dissertation* (Part 1, Semester 1, worth 20 out of the 40 credits total)
Semester 2:
BIO6001-20 Dissertation Publication*
GEO6000-40/2 Geography Dissertation* (Part 2, Semester 2, worth 20 out of the 40 credits total)
*BIO6000-20 in Semester 1 is linked with BIO6001-20 in Semester 2. GEO6000-40/1 in Semester 1 is linked with GE06000-40/2 in Semester 2. You must pick ONE of these pairs of modules across the two semesters, you CANNOT mix them together
Optional Modules are offered by your Subject and you are free to pick any of the Optional Modules listed to make up your credit totals.
Semester 1:

GEO6100-20 - Advanced Geographical Fieldwork
GEO6101-20 Disaster Risk Reduction

Semester 2:
You must select 40 credits from the following:

An Open Module is a module offered to all students by a Subject that is not your own. You can pick ONE 20 credit Open Module per academic year in order to broaden your study. This Open Module is selected instead of one 20 credit Optional Module.
